olive orange waiting to go into the oven
Tomorrow everyone will be relaxing and eating. Hopefully they will be thankful as well. I am amazed at the response our cookies have had in the region and I'm very thankful for the support I have, my friends and everyone I am meeting on this awesome journey. May your Thanksgiving be one of joy and merriment. Enjoy!

An Auspicious Beginning
When I was shown this warehouse space, the realtor told me the broken, upside-down television left on the small deck next to the back door would be removed, once they killed the bees. I looked out the window to realize they were honeybees. I found this to be a sign of good luck, immediately put in an offer and when it was accepted asked the owner to leave the set and the bees alone. He agreed although he thinks I'm crazy. We now have our own beehive, in its special envelope, and when I look out the window and see them buzzing about on warm days, I smile with joy. We hope they make it through the winter and plan to move them when we can to a more protected environment, like my friend's farmland in Bethlehem.

A fabulous season
Hi Everyone,
Well, it's been a fabulous summer season. It's almost over, but it's been a great beginning. Since we started in late July, we've given samples in Waterbury, Torrington, Thomaston, Watertown and Collinsville farmer's markets and have had a steady presence in all five. We've just acquired a storage facility including an office and potentially our own kitchen, (a future project). Our website is being constructed as we speak. We now produce over six thousand cookies a week and are introducing 4 new flavors: Smoked Yellow Onion, Gluten-free Coconut Ginger, Gluten-free Olive and a chocolate orange spice called Krakatoa. Our seasonal run of Smoked Red Onion has continually sold out and the earliest shipment we can receive will be in July of next year. Along with the aforementioned flavors, we carry Coconut Ginger, Cinnamon Orange, Black Olive, Olive and Orange, and Lavender. Peppermint Raisin will end it's run at the end of the season as well. So if you're interested in having some, please come to one of the last markets of the season or email us.
Our calendar for the fall is beginning to fill up as well. Please come see us at any of the following events and stay updated :
Torrington Farmer's Market, Torrington - Saturday, October 9
Fall Harvest Festival at Miranda Vineyards, Goshen - Saturday, October 16
St. John WIne and Beer Tasting Event, March Farms, Bethlehem - Saturday October 16
Collinsville Farmer's Market, Collinsville - Sunday, October 17
Torrington Farmer's Market, Torrington - Saturday, October 23
Spirit of Waterbury Festival, The Green, Waterbury - Saturday, Sunday, October 23 and 24
The Spirit of the Holidays, Watertown - Saturday, December 11
and as always, our cookies are available at Matteo Restaurant on Main Street in Watertown
More updates as they come in.
Be well,
André
