olive orange waiting to go into the oven

Tomorrow everyone will be relaxing and eating. Hopefully they will be thankful as well. I am amazed at the response our cookies have had in the region and I'm very thankful for the support I have, my friends and everyone I am meeting on this awesome journey. May your Thanksgiving be one of joy and merriment. Enjoy!

Our cookies are now available at Northville Market in New Milford and at the Litchfield Farmer's Market on Route 202, every Saturday in 2010 and every other Saturday in 2011. Check out their schedule at www.litchfieldhillsfood.org. We will also be at the Bethlehem Christmas Fair December 3rd and 4th (Friday and Saturday) and the Watertown Spirit of the Holidays Fair, Depot Square on Friday and Saturday, December 10 and 11.

Gobble, gobble!

An Auspicious Beginning

When I was shown this warehouse space, the realtor told me the broken, upside-down television left on the small deck next to the back door would be removed, once they killed the bees. I looked out the window to realize they were honeybees. I found this to be a sign of good luck, immediately put in an offer and when it was accepted asked the owner to leave the set and the bees alone. He agreed although he thinks I'm crazy. We now have our own beehive, in its special envelope, and when I look out the window and see them buzzing about on warm days, I smile with joy. We hope they make it through the winter and plan to move them when we can to a more protected environment, like my friend's farmland in Bethlehem.
